2004 Building Cleanability Awards Presentation

The 2004 Building Cleanability Awards will culminate this year with a prestigious Luncheon at London 's famous Guildhall on Monday 12 th July.

Promoted by the cleaning industry Livery Company - The Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners - the Awards are designed to focus attention on and increase the awareness of, the cleaning needs and cleanability issues relevant to all commercial and public buildings, hence the Awards strap line:-

'Effective Cleaning Through Good Design'

The Lord Mayor of London , Alderman Robert Finch, has agreed to present the Awards, at what promises to be a highlight in the industry's calendar. A detachment of Pikemen and Musketeers from the Honourable Artillery Company will be in attendance. The Luncheon and Awards Ceremony will take place in The Great Hall, preceded by a Champagne Reception in The Old Library

More than fifty building nominations have been received for the 2004 Awards from all over the UK and covering the eight different Awards categories. Each building entered has been undergoing a rigorous cleanability assessment by an official Awards Assessor. Every building will receive a Grading Assessment Certificate and a number of National Awards will be presented at the Awards Luncheon, including the overall, Bronze, Silver and Gold Award winners.

The 2004 Awards have been sponsored by The British Cleaning Council, along with The Cleaning and Support Services Association, The British Institute of Cleaning Science , Karcher UK and Greenham, part of the Bunzl Group. The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and The British Institute of Facilities Management have also agreed to support this year's Awards. Any company or organisation, as well as individuals, connected with the building design, construction, management and cleaning industries are welcome to attend the event and bring along clients, guests or partners.
